Vanessa believes by building relationships of trust, we make paths for risk-taking, rigor, reflection, and growth for one another. She sees yoga as supporting being our authentic selves in both the highs and lows of our lives. Yoga has helped her find peace, yet challenge, in order to gain insight and deep reflection within herself.

In 1996, Vanessa moved to the Grand Valley and feels lucky and honored to be in such a place of beauty. Yoga was a practice she dipped in and out of, finally settling into regular hot practice at Half Moon Yoga where she completed her 200 RYT. Outside of this practice, she has been in education for over 20 years, and continues to be a learner in her field. In addition to serving in the education realm and her yoga practice, she loves mountain biking, hiking, river rafting, camping, reading and writing, and spending time with family and friends.
Her hope as a yoga instructor is to provide room for people to grow how they need through movement and breath.
